The work
A deck takes a beating from sun, snow and foot traffic. We repair what can be saved, replace what cannot and rebuild when that is the honest answer, and we tell you which one it is before we start.
What the work covers
- Board and railing replacement
- Stair repair
- Re-fastening and leveling
- Cleaning, sanding and sealing or painting
- Rebuilding worn sections

Process
- 1
Inspect
We check boards, railings, stairs and the framing you can reach.
- 2
Recommend
You hear what needs fixing now, what can wait and what we would not touch.
- 3
Repair or rebuild
Damaged parts are removed and replaced with proper fasteners and materials.
- 4
Finish
Surfaces are cleaned and sealed or painted to protect the new work.
Estimate
We do not quote from a photo or a price list. We look at the work, then write up the estimate. These are the things that move it.
- Deck size and height
- Extent of damage
- Material: pressure-treated, cedar or composite
- Railings and stairs
FAQ
Repair or replace the whole deck?
If the framing is sound, boards and railings can often be replaced. If it is not, we tell you plainly and explain the options.
Can you add stairs or railings to a deck?
Yes. Stairs and railings are part of what we build and repair, so they can be done in the same project.
Can you stain or paint the deck afterwards?
Yes, we can seal, stain or paint it as part of the same job.
How do I get an estimate for a deck?
Send the estimate request on this site. We reply to arrange a visit, look at the work in person, and then write up the estimate. There is no commitment to hire us.
